General Information
AIC Touch Football
- Saturday 25 October: annual AIC Touch Football carnival, for Year 5-11 students.
- Sunday 26 October: annual AIC Water Polo tournament, for Years 7-11 students.
- Trial and training processes are available for AFL, Cricket and Volleyball (please click on the linked files, underlined).
- The AIC Volleyball Trials will continue next week (schedule attached). Please note all age groups in the schedule are indicative of the student's Year level in 2026. A full list of comitments for each Year level can be found on page 2. All students will be invited to each session including the full College trial match v Iona College on Saturday 15 November. A list of final team selections will be announced following the final trial on 15 November, with the successful students continuing in Week 7.
- Internal selection trials and training will also be conducted for all students registered for AIC AFL and Cricket. Please see the attachments for AFL and Cricket. Note: No Zone Club Cricket Trainings will occur in WEEK 4, with Zone Club Cricket Trainings recommencing in Week 5.
- Compulsory Swimming Training has commenced (initial squads are presented on Student Cafe and Parent Lounge):
– Gold Squad (Selection Categories 1 and 2): From Monday morning, 20 October, at Langlands Park Memorial Pool – 6:30am arrival for a 6:45am start. Training also continues Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 6:45–7:45am.
– Green Squad (Selection Category 3): Wednesday mornings at Villanova College Pool, from 7:00–8:00am.

Villanova College Swimming – Squad List and Training Commencement from Week 3, Term 4
Students are asked to please check Student Café and parents to check Parent Lounge to view the Swimming Squad each student has been selected for ahead of compulsory Term 4 training.
Compulsory Training Commences Week 3:
- Gold Squad (Categories 1 and 2): Monday morning, 21 October, at Langlands Park Memorial Pool – 6:30am arrival for a 6:45am start. Training also continues Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 6:45–7:45am.
- Green Squad (Category 3): Wednesday mornings at Villanova College Pool, from 7:00–8:00am.
All students are expected to attend their scheduled training sessions as listed in Student Café and Parent Lounge. Please ensure your son arrives on time, prepared and ready to train.

Please note:
- Compulsory Swimming training commences Term 4, Week 3. Squads are presented on Student Cafe and Parent Lounge.
- The Week 5 Training Schedule will be released by Friday of Week 4.
If any changes or cancellations occur, the Villanova College app will be updated accordingly.

Term 4 Initiatives (user pays)
Term 4 Speed & Agility Program
Registrations are now open via Parent Lounge – the program begins in Week 2 of Term 4.
Registrations are now live in Parent Lounge for the Term 4 Speed and Agility Program – a fantastic chance for students to sharpen their skills and build confidence! Sessions kick off on Thursday of Week 2 (16 October), as Week 1 clashes with the AIC Track and Field Championships.
Details:
• Open to all students in Years 5–8
• Cost: $160 for 8 sessions delivered by Matty Scott and elite-level coaches ($20 will be refunded by Week 3, if an 8th session cannot be secured)
• Day: THURSDAY mornings ONLY
• Time: 7:00am to 8:00am
• Venue: Whinstanes Oval
• Start Date: Week 2 – Thursday 16 October.
This is a great opportunity to build speed, coordination and confidence in a dynamic and supportive setting.
Please note: In the event of cancelled sessions or extremely poor weather, sessions may be adjusted or rescheduled where possible. Thank you for your understanding.
