What is TCOG?
Toowoomba Community Organic Gardens (TOG)
is a community project established by the Darling Downs Natural Growers Group (DDNGG) to trial and demonstrate natural growing methods. The project uses a 'hands-on' approach to increase community awareness and knowledge of organic gardening and related urban environmental matters
(from TOG pamphlet).

Wildlife Garden

Toowoomba Community Organic Gardens aim to demonstrate the benefits of growing food and urban gardening in harmony with nature. Volunteers meet regularly to plan and carry out various projects. The site is divided into sections, including Australian Native Garden, Wildlife Garden, Permaculture Garden and Community Gardens.

In about a decade the site has progressed from a grassed park to an important and attractive asset of the Toowoomba Community. Individuals and school groups are welcome to visit and to assist if they wish. There is room for expansion, and future plans include an Educational Centre and a 'Bush Tucker' Garden. Many individuals and organisations have contributed to the success of this endeavour.
